We have good reason to believe that this is the greatest photography tour available in the World! On this tour you have the ability to shoot Australia's most remote locations from the air as well as on the ground. To cover such distance with ease gives you so much variety in the photo opportunities and sets it apart from any other photo trip. Day 1 Coober Pedy This morning board the Air Adventure Outback Jet bound for the outback and beyond. Touch down on Muloorina cattle station, on the edge of Lake Eyre to meet the owners and warm up the lenses on their intriguing scrap yard. This evening you will be in opal mining town of Coober Pedy to photograph the alien landscape of the Breakaways Range. Accommodation: Desert Cave, Coober Pedy


Days 2 & 3 Kings Canyon Enjoy two days shooting the red earth landscape of the Watarrka National Park, including the ‘Rim Walk’ around the canyon itself. There are also some wonderful macro opportunities around Kings Creek Station a working cattle and camel station set amongst the majestic desert oaks.
Accommodation: is in luxurious safari style tents at Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge

Days 4 & 5 Mary River Wetlands Spend two days photographing a wide variety of birds and enormous salt water crocodiles. Enjoy private cruises on the Rockhole Billabong and Shady Camp in the Mary River Wetlands a place so abundant with wildlife – it has to be seen to be believed! You can also try barramundi fishing with a local expert.

Day 6 Tiwi Islands Fly direct to the Tiwi Islands to experience the ancient culture of the locals. Participate in a sacred ceremony and witness artists preparing their craft that is sought after world-wide and available for purchase.

Days 7 & 8 Faraway Bay Fly direct to Faraway Bay where your nearest neighbour is over 150km away. You will be guided to Bradshaw Rock Art sites, witness the mighty King George Falls on a private cruise and enjoy fresh local produce. What’s more we book the entire camp exclusively for your group.

Days 9 & 10 Home Valley Station After a low level scenic flight over the Kimberley, land at million acre Home Valley Station where your aboriginal guide will give you a first hand experience of life on a cattle station. Photographic opportunities are numerous with the iconic backdrop of the Cockburn Range, stockmen on horseback and animated boab trees.
Accommodation: Stay in the modern Guest House wing at Home Valley Station


Day 11 Bungle Bungle Arrive in time to explore Echidna Chasm and then get into position to shoot the sunset. Rise early the following morning to catch the striped domes, one of the most recognised icons of the Kimberley, when the colours are at their best.

Day 12 Uluru Fly south direct to Uluru with a scenic circuit of Uluru and Kata-Tjuta on arrival and witness the sun setting at this most iconic of landmarks with plenty of time for photographs. Accommodation: Desert Gardens Resort

Days 13 & 14 Prairie Hotel, Flinders Ranges Wake in time to photograph the sunrise in the Uluru National Park. Depart ‘the Rock’ to your final night’s accommodation at the stylish Prairie Hotel where you will experience their famed ‘feral’ outback cuisine. Air Adventure has a long standing relationship with the Prairie Hotel and they always enjoy welcoming Air Adventure’s guests. Your host, Ross Fargher a fourth generation grazier and owner of the Prairie Hotel will give you a great insight into the history and modern day life in this picturesque region between the ranges and the desert. Your flight home this afternoon includes a scenic circuit over Wilpena Pound. The speed of the Outback Jet will have you back in Melbourne in under two hours.
