Days 1 & 2 Arnhem Land Enjoy a low level scenic flight from Darwin, over the floodplains of northern Kakadu and touch down in Arnhem Land. You will be staying at Max Davidson’s Mount Borradaile Camp which is actually within an aboriginal Registered Sacred Site. During the monsoon this region is drenched with metres of rainfall turning the normally arid landscape lush and green, a spectacular sight. Over the next two days the expert guides will take you by 4WD and boat to some of Borradaile’s most significant and intriguing art sites, including the Rainbow Serpent, one of the most potent symbols of aboriginal spiritualism. Days 3 & 4 Bullo River Station A scenic flight over southern Kakadu and more specifically the Jim Jim and Twin Falls on your way to Bullo River Station, made famous by the novels of Sara Henderson. For the next two days, 500, 000 acres of Bullo River’s wetlands, escarpments, waterfalls and wilderness is yours to explore in a variety of means: 4WD, quad bike, boat and even helicopter time is included in your total experience. A stay at Bullo River lends itself to a very genuine and personalised experience of life on an enormous cattle station. With friendly hosts, comfortable accommodation and breathtaking scenery, you won’t want to leave. Day 5 Kimberley Waterfalls Continue your adventure around the station with your hosts. After lunch we take the scenic route back to Darwin and explore by air, some mighty Kimberley Waterfalls such as the Berkeley and King George Falls which sends the wet season rains freefalling for 80 metres into the sea.
