Day 1 Melbourne (YMEN) - Broken Hill (YBHI) - Flinders Ranges (YLEC)
Board Air Adventure's Outback Jet this morning bound for the outback and beyond. Stop in at Broken Hill to visit the Royal Flying Doctor Base - an essential aviation service in the outback. Another quick hop and you will land amongst the rugged hills of the Flinders Ranges. Here you will be met by Ross Fargher, your host while in the region. Drive south between the Flinders Ranges and the desert. Call in at Nilpena Station, Ross and his wife Jane's 200,000 acre home which is also home to the Ediacara Hills - one of the worlds most significant fossil grounds, to which you will have exclusive access - a favourite region for none other that Sir David Attenborough. This afternoon continue south to the Prairie Hotel.

Day 2 Flinders Ranges
Today Ross will take you on a private tour to explore the western Flinders Ranges' truly spectacular gorges. Spot yellow rock wallabies and the watchful wedge tail eagles circling above. Up in the hills you will also meet Ross's brother and bush aviator, Ian. Ian operates out of a number of bush strips on his station, one is an RFDS strip, his personal one can best be described as a goat track.

Day 3 Flinders Ranges (YLEC) - William Creek (YWMC) - Birdsville (YBDV)
Say farewell to Parachilna this morning and fly across to the remote outpost of William Creek (pop 6), meet Trevor Wright for guided tour of his outback aviation operation. Board this smaller aircraft for a trip out to the Painted Hills, an area that only Trevor has access to. After lunch depart Birdsville for a 4WD trip out through the desert to 'Big Red,' the largest sand dune in the Simpson Desert. Return to the iconic Birdsville Pub for dinner.

Day 4 Birdsville (YBDV) - Longreach (YLRE)
This morning fly northwest to the township of Longreach, one of the birthplaces of QANTAS. Here you have 'access all areas' on the Platinum Pass so you can experience all this extensive museum has to offer, including private tours of the 707 and 747 and walking out on the wing.

Day 5 Longreach (YLRE) - Rolleston (YRLL)
This morning visit the Stockman's Hall of Fame that pays tribut to the pioneers of the Australian outback. Continue to the tiny township of Rolleston to meet a passionate aviator and private collector, Ross Smith. Ross has numerous aircraft in his hangar, amongst them is a 1937 Lockheed Electra Jnr - it is a rare and beautful machine that Ross has restored to flying condition. Spend one on one time with Ross and his toys. Tonight enjoy a meal with him at the local hotel.

Day 6 Rolleston (YRLL) - Scone (YSCO)
Farwell Ross (his backyard backs onto the airfield) before heading on to Scone. Here you will be able to check out Pays Warbird Restoration at the airfield, where they have a Hawker Hurricane, Kittyhawk and 2 Supermarine Spitfires amongst others. Joyflights in their Harvard will be available for those that are interested (at an additional cost).

Day 7 Scone (YSCO) - Wollongong (YWOL) - Temora (YTEM)
Today it is a quick flight down to Wollongong for the Wings Over Illawarra Airshow. Land on the runway and you are at the event, on a Gold Pass with privileged access. A combination of historic and modern aircraft on static and flying display. Once the day is done, continue to Temora.

Day 8 Temora (YTEM) - Melbourne (YMEN)
Spend the morning at the interesting Temora Aviaiton Museum then it's a brief flight home to Melbourne.
