Time to rest; accommodation is at Gagudju Lodge, Cooinda

Day Three: Cooinda - Mount Borradaile Camp

Yellow Waters is home to one-third of Australia's entire birdlife, so your alarm clock has a natural ring this morning, ensuring no-one misses breakfast. Today, AAA guests will visit the Aboriginal Culture Centre before lunch. AAA pilots depart Cooinda providing a short flight to Mount Borradaile, here, your wonderful hosts Max and Phillipa Davidson will ensure an adventure that will make clichés a reality, two days at Mount Borradaile offers numerous activities set amidst some of the Northern Territory's most stunning scenery. By nature of the seasonal process, Australia's monsoonal low pressure systems create lightning shows that can provide immense flashes of nature's beauty, especially when played against a darkened setting sun. Dining is a pleasure, the wine is premium and the lightning show operates most nights. Time to rest; accommodation is at Mount Borradaile Camp. No en suites here.

Day Four: Mount Borradaile

Wake to sounds of nature before taking part in an exciting cruise over the safer waters of certain rivers for an over-water adventure. AAA guests will be provided expert commentary of the local Indigenous rock art, the local flora, masses of birdlife and other native fauna. Typical of The Wet is how the wildlife becomes very active, water birds especially making good use of the heavily bloated waterways. Time to rest; accommodation is at Mount Borradaile Camp.

Day Five: Mount Borradaile - Point Stuart, Mary River National Park

After breakfast, time to explore and a hearty lunch, AAA pilots depart Mount Borradaile flying guests to Wildman River, neighbouring the Northern Territory's Kakadu National Park, arriving at the airfield for transfer to Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge situated in the Mary River National Park. AAA guests and guides are encouraged to hold on tight as your Airboat driver navigates the expansive wetlands to various locations for wildlife viewing. Time to rest, accommodation is at the deluxe tropical Novotel Atrium Hotel or similar located along the Esplanade overlooking Darwin's pristine Harbour.

AAA guests travel by 4WD vehicle on tour to Geike Gorge and Tunnel Creek where the Fitzroy River goes underground for a short distance. We return prior to sunset for dinner and some chilled white wine. Time to rest; accommodation is at Fitzroy Crossing Lodge.

Day Nine: Fitzroy Crossing - Patjarr - Coober Pedy

Together for breakfast, AAA guests soon after depart Fitzroy Crossing flying into the Aboriginal Patjarr Community located in the middle of the Gibson Desert. The Pintubi people have only recently come in from their nomadic life and settled down to a static lifestyle, although, they still spend most of their time collecting indigenous bush tucker. The Pintubi will have some unique artwork for sale here, not available anywhere else. Pintubi Elders welcome guests to join them for lunch prior to joining a traditional gathering with the aim of collecting bush tucker for their families. AAA pilots have guests airborne by mid afternoon bound for the moonscape of Coober Pedy. Arriving in Coober Pedy AAA guests are welcomed to the Desert Cave Hotel to refresh for a farewell celebratory dinner. Time to rest; accommodation is at the underground Desert Cave Hotel.
