Destination Profile - Wineglass Bay, Tasmania

The perfect formation and white sand of Wineglass Bay make it one of the most photographed natural features in the state. Wineglass Bay is a wonderful surprise when you climb over the saddle in the Hazards - the jagged range of pink and grey granite peaks on the east coast peninsula that is the Freycinet National Park.

The bay's perfect curve of white sand, and the blue sea and skies form a stunning picture. In 1999 the American travel magazine 'Outside' voted Wineglass Bay one of the top ten beaches in the world. Walking along Wineglass Bay is a true tonic for revitalisation, go the extra step and plunge into the crystal clear sea!

This destination is part of the Cradled into Freycinet Bay Australian Adventure.
