Situated on the Great Northern Highway 760 Km. North of Perth the town of Meekatharra is an important service town for the mining and pastoral industries.
First settled in 1896 by gold miners, Meekatharra is now the regional headquarters for the Flying Doctor Service who spread a mantle of safety over a huge area of the state.
